This. Shoot. Was. So. Much. Fun. Oh. My. Gosh.
Karl + Suzi are seriously the sweetest couple, ever. I’ve done a couple of sessions with them – their family earlier this year and Suzi’s boudoir last year – and when I asked on our Facebook page a few weeks ago if anyone wanted to go down to the Colorado State Fair to do a fun couples session – Suzi emailed me right away and was all “me me me me me me!”. It’s always so awesome when another photographer that I respect and admire asks us to take pictures for them – it’s always a bit daunting because it’s like “oh man, the pressure is on!” … But, I don’t know who was more excited for this shoot – us or Suzi! Haha! And even better, she asked Sabrina Tannehill to do her makeup and she looked absolutely b-e-a-utiful!
We didn’t realize that there was going to be a HUGE line when we got there – it took us over an hour to even get through the front gate, which was kind of a bummer since we lost all that great natural light standing around in line … but we still had fun just talking, joking and laughing about things together. And then we spent the next couple of hours just walking around, going on a couple rides, eating the best corndog of my life, watching Karl devour a funnel cake and nearly getting stampeded by a bunch of kids (“It’s JUSTIN BIEBER!!!” … No, it wasn’t, but that’s the mania that ensued).
