Katelyn
This may or may not be the most important senior session I’ll do this season: my daughter’s! Katelyn is finally graduating from high school, after a wild ride the last four years. She attended four separate high schools in two states, survived her freshman year during the pandemic, played JV soccer, was the team manager and statistician for volleyball, and also participated in band, marching band and jazz band. All the while, maintaining an incredible GPA, working part time and all the other life events that have gone on during the last four years for our family. All with grace, kindness and perseverance. Her dad and I are so incredibly proud of her, and can’t wait to celebrate with our family and friends this May.
But first … cap and gown photos. Before we left Wisconsin last summer, we did the first half of Katelyn’s senior photos in Lake Geneva. We had planned to do some in Lake Havasu while we were there, but life got so busy during the fall that we just didn’t have the time. But! Once she got her cap and gown, I knew we needed to carve out some time to take her senior photos at Lake Pleasant.
Before we know it, she’ll be headed off to Arizona State University to pursue her Music Education degree. She plans to become a band teacher for high school students, and she’ll be in the ASU Marching Band, too!
