Mount Herman Trail Engagement Session in Monument
Since everyone is having such a great time on our vacation out to California, they’re all sleeping in … which means, I have some free time on my hand to sneak in a couple of blogs this week! Earlier this week, I shared Spencer + McKenna’s surprise proposal and today I’m sharing all about Mick and Emily’s Mount Herman Trail engagement session! We originally had planned on going to Horsethief Trail up near Divide just past Woodland Park, but after hiking it with the kids and discovering the whole darn thing is frozen right now, we opted to go somewhere a bit lower in elevation to avoid the ice. After doing some Googling, we found the base of Mount Herman Trail and it looked like a perfect spot for their engagement session!
I met up with Emily and Mick for an afternoon of fun just before we headed out on our trip, and I’m so excited to be sharing their story today on our blog! They originally met living as next door neighbors, and their relationship started as friends. Soon though, it developed into something more! When it came time to propose, Mick surprised Emily with a ring over the holidays during a trip down to Mexico for Christmas. He took her on a romantic walk down to the beach, and when they finally got to a secluded area, Mick got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him … and now, here we are!
These two are getting married later this year up in the mountains (with a view of the Continental Divide as the backdrop! YASSS!) and we are so, so stoked. After spending the afternoon with them, I just know their wedding is going to be absolutely incredible!!
