It’s that time of the week again, sharing another wedding on my blog! I’m going a bit out of chronological order here, I was going back and blogging older weddings but instead, I think I’m going to bounce around … because why not? Haha! Gabe and Lauren’s wedding at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs was my first wedding of 2019, and it was absolutely incredible. Since I don’t like to fly anymore, we spent a solid 17 hours driving out to California the day before the wedding and an even harsher 20 hours driving back to Colorado the day after (the truck broke down in the dark in the middle of nowhere New Mexico … not exactly awesome, haha).
But you know what? It was totally worth it because this wedding was amazing beyond my wildest dreams. Lauren and Gabe had a ton of DIY elements to their wedding, including all of the signage! I loved that they incorporated so much greenery into their floral and the desert experience, and really kept their wedding focused on them and their love story. Mackenzie with Details, Darling did an AMAZING job tying all of the elements together!
This wedding was also extra special because Gabe’s grandfather officiated the ceremony. I love when important people in the couples’ lives officiate the wedding ceremony, it just makes the ceremony so much more personal and intimate.
This was our final wedding doing both photo and video combo, and I’m so excited to share their highlight film!
