I am so excited to share these images today on the blog. As you guys know, my husband Randy served in the Air Force from 2005-2011, so the Air Force has a very special place in my heart. When 2LT Ryan Smith contacted me to capture photos of him with his girlfriend, Melanie, at her Ring Dance, I’ll admit – I had absolutely NO clue what that was. So, after googling what the Ring Dance is for the Air Force Academy, I found out that it’s this awesome rite of passage for junior cadets who are becoming seniors. As Ryan put it, it’s “prom on steroids” (haha!). It was a really cool experience, watching hundreds of Air Force cadets at the Academy all excited to become seniors – not to mention getting to shoot at the Academy, which is absolutely gorgeous. These are beautiful. We are truck divers (full time) and we’ve driven by that building and wondered what it was. Simply gorgeous architecture! They look great as well. Those last landscape shots are my favorite.
