I’m so excited to be sharing Ryon and Kelly’s gorgeous Colorado Springs wedding on the blog today!

Ryon and Kelly are two of the loveliest people that Randy and I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and working with. They are college sweethearts, having met at the University of Colorado in Boulder. We did their engagement session a few months ago and ever since then we have eagerly been awaiting their summer wedding – and it did not disappoint. There were so many personal touches to Ryon and Kelly’s big day, but I have to say that my favrite part was the hand-me-down antique, hand-sewn handkerchief that Kelly carried. It was intricately sewn by her great-grandmother, and each woman in Kelly’s family has carried it down the aisle for good luck. Kelly’s grandma told Randy and me the entire story, and it was so awesome to hear about the history of this dainty little handkerchief that had these little blue flowers sewn onto it. LOVE things like this about weddings!

Their wedding day was positively magical, starting with Kelly getting ready at her parents’ gorgeous home, through the ceremony at Kelly’s family church. The window light flooded in from the floor to the ceiling, providing an amazing backdrop for their vows. After the ceremony, we all headed over to Flying Horse Country Club for the reception which was filled with a delicious dinner and lots of fun dancing. Rob (FUNction Pro DJ) is my favorite DJ to work with in Colorado Springs, and I’m so grateful we got to work together again before we moved to California!
