Just a few days ago, we got to spend two days with Noah and Evelyn for their Skylark Hotel wedding in Palm Springs … except, they were already married!! You see, they actually got married a few weeks ago in a private, small ceremony on the beach. But their holiday weekend in Palm Springs? It was all about the celebration, and bringing their larger communities together for one heck of a party!
It all started on Friday afternoon, with a poolside bash with tacos and beer, a couple competitive games (including a totally rad “How Well Do You Know Us?” game), and lots of fun-in-the-sun. Then on Saturday? We spent some time with them alone in Joshua Tree for some fun portraits, followed by a semi-formal poolside dinner at the Skylark Hotel in Palm Springs.
They met online, as one of Evelyn’s best friends put it – he had spent years trying to find a hot blonde doctor on the internet and here’s Evelyn, scoring one on her first try!! They met up for beers in San Francisco, and Evelyn bought the first round … and the rest, as they say, is history! When these two aren’t busy adventuring together – surfing in the morning, traveling all over the world, going on yoga retreats or simply just eating brunch and napping together – these two are always doing things together, because “it doesn’t matter what (they’re doing) … being together makes everything fun!”
And we absolutely, totally agree.
We loved getting to spend the weekend with such a fantastic group of people – their community of friends and family are AMAZING. And can we just give all the heart eyes for their choreographed first dance, doing the Jive? I mean – seriously!? AMAZING!!!
