If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know that I absolutely love summer engagement sessions (well, ANY kind of session in the summer TBH). The greens, the golden sun, the warmth – yes please, gimme gimme! I recently hung out with Natalie and Raymond for their summer engagement session at White River County Park in Lake Geneva. We met a little later than I normally like to meet because of Ray’s work schedule, but it was absolutely MAGIC and I’m so excited to share it with y’all today!

Ray met Natalie while serving at their church, together on the worship team. Their relationship just came naturally right away, and they realized very quickly that they had the same goals and passions. After a couple of years of dating, earlier this year on the coldest freaking day in Wisconsin, Ray asked Natalie if she wanted to take a small hike at White River County Park.

She thought it was strange because it was so cold and they had plans to meet up with some friends later in the day at Winterfest in Lake Geneva, but since she loved hiking agreed to go. When they got to to the park, the river was frozen over (not surprising!) and they were walking on it. She took a picture of Ray and he told her to turn around (her back facing him) so he could take a picture and when she turned around he was down on one knee with the ring. SO SWEET!
