It’s hard to believe I actually took these photos a year ago when we first moved to Wisconsin, and I’m just now realizing that I never blogged them. I actually have a couple of sessions I’ll be blogging soon, because I honestly just never really got around to doing it before since I was on sabbatical from the photography industry. Now that I’m diving back in and offering family photography in Burlington and other areas of southeastern Wisconsin, I’m finally updating the blog!

Meet my friend Samantha and her amazing family – her husband Edward and sons, David and Vinnie. I’ve known Samantha for years and years – we actually both lived together in Colorado Springs, when her husband was stationed at Fort Carson. Samantha was one of my preferred hair and makeup artists for boudoir photography, and I’m so, so glad that she lives here in Wisconsin. It’s been really nice to have someone familiar here, and even though she lives half hour away from me – it’s awesome. I feel very blessed to have Sam and her family in our lives!

I met up with Samantha and her family for a family session at Price Park in Elkhorn for my first family session here in Wisconsin last June. It was so gorgeous! I loved walking through the forest-like trails, where we found a pond filled with fish and turtles, and the wildflowers that were all over the place. Even though it was a darker day with some ominous clouds, the rain held off for our session and we had a fantastic time together.
