Okay sooooooo … Let’s talk about Melissa and Jacob. I’ve been friends with Melissa pretty much since we moved to Colorado Springs back in 2011. I’ve been blessed to photograph her family and her boudoir (a couple of times, woo woo!) and this, by far, was the coolest session yet. First of all, it was the first time I got to meet her new husband, Jacob; I’ve heard so many amazing things about him, so it was rad to finally put a face to the name and see Melissa as happy as I’ve ever seen her.
Why? Well, because Melissa and Jacob are EXPECTING their first baby together!!! When she emailed me and asked if we could turn her Christmas Cards into “oh yeah, and by the way, we’re EXPECTING!” announcements … After I got done jumping up and down with excitement, I immediately thought it was the coolest way to announce their wonderful news. Of course, Melissa’s four older kiddos are over-the-moon excited about their soon-to-be baby brother or sister (come on, team PINK!) and made the session just that much more fun. Baby Caine is coming next Spring and I am oh-so-excited to watch Melissa’s family grow!!
