Meet the beautiful Kahai family – Matt, Brittney, Landen and Leiya! I’ve known the Kahai family for years – back in 2010 we were actually neighbors while we were all stationed at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota (I did their family photos right before we moved in 2011 – check those out!). They have since been restationed to McChord Air Force Base down in Tacoma and we’ve kept in touch over the years and when Brittney saw I was coming to Seattle for a week, she asked me to document a super special session for them. Matt and Brittney have been trying for baby number 3 for some time now … and there have been a lot of ups and downs, to say the least. I’ve prayed for them and watched this absolute miracle happen, and I’m so excited for little Liam’s arrival next February! And I am hoping to come back up to Seattle to document his first photos, fingers crossed!! And of course, it was so awesome to see Landen and Leiya again – they’ve gotten so much bigger since the last time I saw them! They are both super excited for baby Liam’s arrival, too.

We did this session at Kerry Park in Seattle, and the surrounding neighborhood. We picked a b-e-a-uuuutiful day to do this session – you could even see Mt Rainier in the background! And lucky us – no rain! This was a few days before “fogmageddon” hit last month, so we definitely lucked out with the gorgeous weather.
