homecoming | Major Borowski

Created by Ali Coşkunfrom the Noun Project

On October 17th, my day started at 1:45am. Yes, you read that right – One Forty-Five in the morning – or as I like to call it, “o-dark-thirty” (because no matter what time it is, if it’s still dark and you’re tired, it’s o-dark-thirty, haha). See, I don’t normally wake up in the middle of the night without a VERY good cause … and this day, I did: I was headed down to Fort Carson to welcome home the  4ID DSTB, B Company from a 13-month tour in Iraq! Over 200 brave men and women returned home, and I got to accompany Kim and Madison (and Kim’s mom) to the special events center to welcome home their hero – Major Borowski!
