Mark + Charlene met like so many other people these days do (cough-cough, like us, cough-cough) – online! And just like us, their first date was the start of something so beautiful and immediately they both were like, “whoa” right off the bat. Their first date lasted four hours and since then, just over four years ago, these two have been inseparable.

They got engaged after being together for a little over two years, while on vacation here in Palm Springs (they’re both from Cleveland, and love to golf – so the Coachella Valley is their favorite vacation spot!). So, it made perfect sense for them to do a destination wedding in Palm Springs, inviting about 20 of their closest friends and family to celebrate their wedding day with them!

Their ceremony was led by Reverend Richard Cadieux from My Joyful Wedding, and it was everything Mark + Charlene wanted it to be: meaningful, sweet, emotional and at times – humorous! Following their ceremony, we walked the grounds of Westin Mission Hills (what a GORGEOUS venue that place is!!!) and took some photos around the main lobby. We loved the rounded hallways and walls of bougainvillea, and the stunning waterfall feature.

Their reception on the front lawn was a single long table tastefully designed by Luna Saloman of Arrangements Floral + Party Design, covered with red, yellow, orange and purple tulips and candlelight. It looked so beautiful underneath the bistro lights and palm trees, with Christian Calfour – an incredibly talented harpist – softly playing in the background.
