Being a wedding photographer is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. In fact, we couldn’t think of anything better! 😉 And our couples? The most amazing people in the world! They take good care of us just like we take care of them – and we’re SO grateful for being able to work with such amazing people every single day.
Our clients are so great at making sure that we feel loved and appreciated – and you can do that for your photographer, too! It’s pretty easy, because at the end of the day: artists just want to know that their work means something. So today we’re going to share what our own clients do that make us super happy!
5 Easy Ways to Love Your Photographer!
1.) Share your photos and give credit.
We take photos to capture memories – regardless of what we’re shooting. From weddings to family sessions, every photo we take is so that those moments are captured forever and our clients love to share their photos with their family and friends!
But how do you love your photographer? When sharing, you always, always, always give photography credit (either by saying “Photo by ______” or simply leaving the photographer’s website), and bonus brownie points if you use your photographer’s hashtag!
2.) Like and comment photo shares on social media.
Nothing says “I love my photographer!” than actually actually using that nifty new love button on Facebook! Social media easily loses things like photos – so if you see something, click a like or share a comment. Any artist wants to know that his or her work is seen and appreciated!
3.) Approve the photo tags so your friends + family can see the photos from your wedding or session on your timeline!
This is the hardest one sometimes, because of privacy settings on Facebook accounts. If you’re tagged and looking at Facebook on your phone or mobile device, you should receive a notification that you’ve been tagged in a photo – so click on that notification and it’ll take you to a page where you can click “Allow On Timeline.”
On desktop, you can also approve them this way, too:
Go to your Facebook page, and click on “View Activity Log.”
Then, click on “Tag Review” in the left hand column.
If you’ve got pending tags there, then all you have to do is click on “Allow on Timeline.”
Easy peasy, lemon squeezy! Now your friends and family will be able to see your photos and rejoice in your wedding!
4.) Comment on the blog all about you.
Let your photographer know that you’ve seen the blog (and love it!) by writing a comment on the blog! Doesn’t have to be anything crazy – but a simple “oh my gosh, this is amazing!” will make your photographer grin from ear to ear!
And last but not least:
5.) Share the blog all about you.
Help your friends and family relive your wedding day by sharing the blog! Email it, pin it, share it on social media! You worked hard on all those details for months and months – and aside from sharing all those photos individually … sharing the blog is the easiest way to showcase your wedding!
BONUS TIP!!!
Refer your photographer to your friends and family. If you feel like your photographer took care of you and created beautiful images of your perfect wedding day – nothing says “I love my photographer” more than wanting that same experience for the people in your life! Word of mouth referrals is HUGE for artists, and we definitely LOVE when our brides and grooms refer us out!
And that’s it! 5 super easy ways to love your photographer!
