a love story | Cory + Cheryl, Castle Rock Engagement Photography

March 25, 2013

This is my beloved, and this if my friend.

Song of Solomon 5:16

Cheryl and Cory … my goodness, what an AMAZING couple. I am so excited to be their wedding photographer this upcoming October!! One of Cheryl’s friends is a colleague of mine who doesn’t live here in Colorado anymore, and she actually referred me to them … and it was love at first meeting. I just adore this couple – inside and out, top to bottom. They are just so sweet, and the kindest people, I’m very blessed to have them as clients – and now, friends!

Their love story began a few years ago. A friend of  Cheryl’s met Cory, and she realized that Cheryl + Cory would be perfect for each other. She spent about a year telling Cheryl that this guy was the One for her, but it just never seemed to work out for the two of them to meet … and eventually, they actually ended up being matched together on one of those online dating sites! They went on their first date – to brunch – and realized they had a lot in common :: they both owned Jeeps and loved off-roading (yet another reason that I love them!), and both loved beer-tasting and traveling. They dated for a few months and on a romantic trip to Estes Park, Cory proposed to Cheryl – over ice cream! And now they are in the midst of planning a gorgeous October wedding at Crooked Willow Farms in Larkspur, Colorado – which I will be photographing and I. Cannot. Freaking. WAIT.

Place your heart in the hands of God and He will place it in the hands of a man who He believes deserves it.

Cory works for the city of Castle Rock and is also a high school basketball coach, and Cheryl works as an aviation coordinator up in Jefferson County. They recently moved in together, and are in the process of having their dream house built for them in Castle Rock. Cheryl says that she couldn’t imagine building a future with anyone else – and Cory agrees; he loves their “Starbucks Saturdays” and going out for walks with their dog together. Their future looks so fun – the fact that fate brought them together, I know that they will each get their wish of growing old together, living a long and happy life with each other. They are truly each other’s best friend – they both told me so!

Enjoy! xoxox
