“All I want is for you to be happy
…and make you my family.
Finally you have found someone perfect,
finally you have found yourself.”

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Okay, so … this shoot with Jose and Amber was a blast. I’m not even joking when I say that I was almost laughing until I peed my pants – for realsies! I did their family pictures last November with their daughters (Alexandrya, Lillyan and Beverly) and this time, it was just the three of us. You see, this year on June 7th, Amber and Jose are celebrating their TENTH wedding anniversary! Their love story is pretty amazing, considering they got married only four months after their first date  – which happened to be at Scholtsky’s one day after they both got off work. They were working together at a restaurant in Boise, Idaho and from the get-go, Amber knew that Jose was “the One.” Apparently Jose knew too – he proposed to Amber after only officially dating for a week, on Valentine’s Day in 2003. Jose’s sisters helped Amber plan this whole treasure hunt with poems that ended with a final poem, asking Jose to be hers for an eternity. Literally – how AWESOME is that? And here they are, ten years later – and so in love … SO in love. It is always so much fun to be with them, I can’t help but just laugh and have a good time.

And this year, they are celebrating their tenth anniversary with the most amazing trip – they are going to an all-inclusive, adult-only resort in Jamaica for just over a week … Which Amber instantly says “Hoorah! NO KIDS!” and I get just a light shade of jealousy-green. How amazing does that sound?? My goodness.

After their amazing Jamaican vacation? They hope to ultimately open up their own little restaurant featuring some of Jose’s AMAZING Cuban family recipes (which I will be a frequent customer, I’m sure). Enjoy their love story! xoxo

And just for fun – here’s an outtake of the goofiness. Seriously, we had FUN. Haha!
