You guys: I can’t even BEGIN to tell you how amazing it was to launch (err, or rather relaunch) my way back into the wedding industry than with these two!! Randy and I met up with Abi and Zach for their downtown Burlington engagement session a few nights ago and I am so jazzed to be sharing them on the blog with you today! Not only did we walk around downtown and the cute little Loop area, but we also went to Wehmhoff Square and Echo Lake! We definitely got our steps in during their session, hahaha!
I’ll be photographing Abi and Zach’s wedding later on this summer in Elkhorn. And, after meeting them in person – I am even MORE excited for their wedding day!! These two are just goofy and so sweet together, which comes naturally for them, especially after being together for seven years now. They met while they were both studying engineering at college at UW-Platteville; ironically, they met playing intramural volleyball though, and not in their classes!
Abi told me about how Zach proposed and WOW is it romantic. Here’s the story, in her own words:
We were visiting friends in Italy. My friend’s husband is stationed in Naples and serves in the US Navy. On our first full day, we did some sightseeing in Positano and hiked up Path of the Gods to a stunning overlook above the Tyrrhenian Sea. I was annoyed, because Zach was asking if this was the best view we would see all week. He hadn’t done much trip planning, so I was like “Are you kidding me? Maybe you would know if you had looked at the plan.” Little did I know, it was because he was researching and picking out a ring. Needless to say, it was the best surprise ever and makes for a pretty good story now.
How freaking AMAZING is that!? LOL
