Not too long ago, Randy and I made the drive to Madison to hang out with Josh and Kaleigh for their downtown Madison engagement session at the Capitol building. I don’t get to shoot in Madison too often, and I love the aesthetic of the Capitol building – so this was already going to be an amazing time for me. But then I actually got to meet Josh and Kaleigh, and we had so much fun! Even though it was breezy and pretty freaking cold (don’t let that warm looking sun fool you!), we had a great time exploring downtown and then we finished up over by Lake Mendota at Tenney Park.

Josh and Kayleigh are getting married next month at the Tinsmith in Madison, and I’m so excited!! These two met a few years ago shortly after Kayleigh moved to Madison from Stevens Point. Both of them were not seriously looking for a relationship, but figured trying the dating app Bumble to meet new people wouldn’t hurt. They had our first date, drinks and a pretzel, at Cooper’s Tavern on the Capitol Square, and the rest is history. We even did some of their engagement photos in front of Cooper’s Tavern, which I loved.
