Ever since we moved to Wisconsin a year ago, I have wanted to go and visit Bong Recreation State Park out in Kansasville. So when Jake and Alyssa asked if we could have their engagement session at Bong Recreation State Park, I immediately thought it was an incredible idea! We met up late in July, and spent the afternoon together hiking around all of their favorite spots. These two regularly go hiking there, because they are allowed to bring their sweet puppy girl Julep!

Jake and Alyssa have a romance movie love story, which they told me all about during their session. They initially met through their mutual friends, Megan and Dan. They even ended up being the maid of honor and best man at their wedding! That was a few years ago, and now here they are, planning their own wedding! Jake proposed during a fun trip to Jake’s hometown of Hayward, Wisconsin. They spent a few days hiking, seeing a waterfall, playing a competitive game of mini golf, and other “touristy” things. On the last night they were hanging out by a small lake, just relaxing, and Jake proposed while watching the sunset. Isn’t that just super romantic!?

And now after hanging out together, I can’t wait for their fall wedding later this year at White River County Park; it’s going to be intimate and gorgeous with the autumn colors of Wisconsin!
