I remember the first time we drove through Wisconsin, a couple of years ago. The beautiful, old barns on family farms that had been handed down and loved generation after generation absolutely made my heart so happy. I knew that those barns would one make for an incredible family farm engagement session location one day. After spending the afternoon with Bryan and Karry at their family farm, I was totally right!

Bryan and Karry met online (thank you, Tinder!) and immediately fell for each other. Bryan might not admit to everyone, but he told Karry that by the end of their first date Bryan knew she was the one for him! For their second date, they went to a political parade/rally and Karry had the opportunity to meet Bryan’s family and many of the other important people in her life. He was raised by such an incredible family, and Karry loved how respectful and gentlemanly Bryan is (and so did we!). They spend their date nights riding around on their John Deere tractors, which is exactly why we made sure to include them with their engagement photos!

The Proposal

When Bryan proposed to Karry, he was pretty sneaky! Karry told me all about it, saying. “We went out for dinner to Duck Inn for Bryan’s birthday with his parents. After we ordered our food and finished eating, we decided we needed some dessert to finish the evening. While waiting for the dessert I gave Bryan his birthday present. After opening it, he got up to give me a hug and kiss and to thank me. The next thing I knew he was down on one knee! He told me that he appreciated the gift, but that he wanted something even better… he wanted me to marry him! Of course I cried and said YES! I did however give him grief because I told him before that day that he couldn’t propose on my birthday. He got clever and proposed on his birthday instead! Quite the sneaky one if you ask me!” LOVE IT!
