When we first moved to Wisconsin, we did a ton of driving – finding all the different ways to get to Target, checking out all the lakes and old barns that are around every turn in the country roads. During one of those drives out toward Lake Geneva, we drove by White River County Park and I knew it would make an incredible spot to do sessions at and boy was I right!
I got to hang out with Cody, Lauryn, 3-year-old Bella and 2-year-old James not just once – but twice! – this week. We initially met up during the evening, but Bella and James were just a bit too tuckered out after a fun day on the lake, so we met up again the next morning. Normally, I love to do sessions in the afternoons because of the golden light but wouldn’t you know it – light in Wisconsin is magic and is gorgeous for family sessions in the morning, too!
White River County Park is a great place for family photos during the summer and I can’t wait to see what it looks like during the winter, when it’s all snow covered and gorgeous. But for now, I’ll enjoy every second of all the greenery and the warm weather!
Family Photos at White River County Park in Lake Geneva
And of course, because this is the era of our lives right now … Cody and Lauryn busted out their masks to take a family photo together wearing them. It’s a crazy time in our lives, and while of course it’s no laughing matter given the pandemic – it did make me happy to see them having some fun with it.
