This past weekend, we got to spend some time down in Escondido with our friends, Andee + Aaron for their Felicita Park engagement session (you might have seen the blog about our adventure earlier that same day at the Mission San Diego and the Renaissance Faire a few days ago!) … and we couldn’t have pictured a better ending to the day, than spending it not only with these two hysterically fun people, but also with their one year old son Tycho!
They met a couple of years ago through Andee’s brother, who is shipmates (and roommates) with Aaron in the Navy. For the both of them, it was an instant attraction and a whirlwind romance; Andee said there was “no magic moment for me, it just made sense (that Aaron was The One). Like coming home.” After spending time with them at Aaron’s homecoming just over a year ago, we knew that a wedding wouldn’t be too far off in the distance.
And we were right!
Aaron proposed right before he deployed and we have to admit – this is one of the more creative ways we’ve seen someone get engaged!! He bought a blank notebook and carved a heart into the paper and tied the ring into it, and he set it on her bedside table for her to wake up and find. How sweet is that??
Now they are planning their wedding, which is going to be a very small and intimate day for their family and we cannot wait to see these two become husband and wife!
We have never seen our niece have such an inner glow about her as she did and does since she met Aaron. The inner glow is peaceful and happy. Looks like you found home. When you meet that special someone, you fall in love and come home. There is nothing like it! Congratulations Adrienne and Aaron ❤ We love you. Aunt Melodee and Uncle Roger

The black and white shot of all three of you together, with TO snuggling on your arm, literally brought tears to my eyes. And the one of you and Aaron in the clearing is so romantic!
