Before the year began, Randy + I sat down and talked about everything we wanted to accomplish in 2017. Not just that – but we made a complete game plan of HOW we could accomplish those goals – because it’s one thing to say “oh gosh, I’d love to do that” but it’s a whole other thing to come up with a solid plan on accomplishing them.

Two of the BIG things we wanted to do was hit the ground running here in Colorado and to reach out make new vendor friends (and rekindle friendships we had before we moved away in 2014). How is the best way to hit the ground running while also make new vendor friends? Putting together a styled shoot, of course!

Industrial Organic Styled Wedding at the Hangar at Stanley

We reached out to our wonderfully talented friend Cheri Taunton, who is the creative floral genius at Southern Charm Wedding and Events. We worked with Cheri on a beautiful winter styled shoot at Spruce Mountain Ranch a couple of years ago and to this day, it’s one of our most favorite styled shoots we’ve ever been part of because Cheri is basically a flower goddess. We’ve kept in touch over the years, and she was the very first friend we reached out to with this idea of putting together something once we arrived in Colorado.

We happened to get very lucky and meet Brittany, who is the event coordinator for The Hangar at Stanley – a BRAND NEW industrial chic wedding venue just outside Denver, in the town of Aurora. It’s a former airplane hangar, and the event space is utterly magnificent. While we had a simple single table set up for our shoot, I can just picture just how totally rad it’ll look as a reception space. The bright red doors are such an awesome pop of color, and we’re thrilled to have been asked to have our styled shoot at the Hangar at Stanley.

Cheri put us in touch with Colorado Springs’ top wedding planner: Danielle Odil with Entwined Events. Cheri + Danielle worked incredibly hard with us on our concept of “Industrial Organic” – and pieced together the rest of the team, and this shoot came together beautifully. Everything was just a dream come true, it was exactly what Randy + I had envisioned!!
