It feels so good to get back into blogging sessions! It’s been a while since I’ve been able to sit down and blog, partly due to our move from Georgia to Wisconsin and partly to do with technology issues. My Macbook Pro up and died out of nowhere on me, so I’ve been using a Chromebook (which BTW, is totally not the same and there’s been some big time adjustments going on!). I normally use BlogStomp to create my blogging templates but that software isn’t compatible with Chromebooks (not awesome!), but today I realized I could use Canva so I can at least get some past sessions on the blog. Using Canva takes FOREVER compared to BlogStomp, but hey – it gets the job done and for that I’m grateful!
Kadie’s 2020 Senior Session
Anyway: first up on the blog as I play catch up is Kadie’s 2020 senior session. I shot this right before I had my total thyroidectomy surgery back in early March while we were still living in Georgia. Shooting this high school senior session was so much fun for me, and a wonderful distraction from my impending surgery.
We went to the Avenue of the Oaks on St Simons Island, we hit up the local tennis court and we even went to the beach for Kadie’s session. The wind was absolutely unreal at the beach, we couldn’t even hear each other from 10 feet apart! Luckily there was some really cool architecture nearby, so we took advantage of the old balconies and stuff.
I’m so excited to share that my friend Kadie will be going to the University of Georgia this upcoming fall, something she worked super hard toward and I’m so, so proud of her. I just know she’s going to do amazing things in the world, especially with her incredible family standing behind her.
