Jay and Anne’s Miramar Beach morning wedding at the Alotta Colada House in Florida was literally one of the most beautiful weddings for us, ever. From the sugary-soft bright white sand, to the emerald colored ocean crashing in the backdrop, it was just an absolute dreamy morning. It was also incredibly HOT – 93 degrees with 80% humidity with that white sand reflecting the sun from every direction, and coming from Colorado (where we are still wearing hoodies and debating turning the A/C on) … that Florida weather sure was a shock to the system! We’ll have to write a blog about what to do when you start suffering from heat exhaustion at a wedding, but that’s a different blog for a different day – haha! Today’s blog celebration is ALL about Jay and Anne!

This wedding was one Ashley had looked forward to ever since their engagement session, which we photographed here in Colorado at Echo Lake this time last year (in snow, no less!). Jay and Anne’s Miramar Beach wedding was our favorite kind: intimate, no wedding party and solely focused on family, their closest friends and their marriage.They wanted their wedding celebration to be longer than just a day, so they decided to make it more of a family reunion with just their absolute closest friends, and Florida seemed like the perfect destination for everyone! There was even a wonderful food truck for a taco lunch, everyone gathered around the pool for drinks and swimming, and you could hear the laughter almost from the beach!

Their beachfront ceremony was officiated by their friend Yasmin, which was extra special because she’s the one who introduced them! They also had a custom-made unity box, where they sealed in letters and a bottle of whine for them to open up on their first wedding anniversary, a tradition they’re hoping to recreate every year!
