Nathan and Alexa are two of the most creative people that we’ve ever had the opportunity to work with. Nathan is a fellow photographer/cinematographer and Alexa is a talented animator, and they’ve got the sweetest story. When we first met on Skype, Nathan told me the story of how he proposed – in this beautiful courtyard with a painting of Alexa that he had created, and he had put a little slit in the painting to put the ring actually in the picture. How awesome is that? He even hand designed her beautiful ring, as well! Their wedding was no less imaginative. Every detail was something out of a fairytale book – from the gorgeous princess color theme, to the place sitting utensils, flower choices and centerpieces. Her dress has a mystery designer – no one knows who designed it because there was no tag in it, but boy was it gorgeous with it’s sequined design and princess style cut. Alexa had quite a few ideas come from Pinterest, including her table arrangement chart. I loved the fairytale books that they included for the reception! Even their cake toppers was unique to them – using pages from each of their favorite books (Gilead by Marilynne Robinson for Nathan and Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll for Alexa) cut into their silhouette.  The ceremony took place at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, and what a stunning church it is. The entire back wall of the altar area was this monumental organ that provided the most beautiful background music. Following the heartfelt ceremony, everyone headed down the street to the Sherman Library and Gardens for their reception. The Gardens are very picturesque, and the bridal suite there fit right in to the fairytale theme!
