A few weeks ago, Missy sent me an email asking if I was anywhere close to this small little town outside of Cañon City called Cotopaxi, because she was going to go with her boyfriend on vacation there at the end of May. They wanted to take some couples-only photos to commemorate their trip to Colorado from their home state of Indiana. Then, just a few days before the shoot, she let me know that – SURPRISE!!! – she and Nick were going to get married while they were on vacation! It was not their original plan, but Nick told me at their session that everyone just assumed that was what was going to happen and they thought, “you know what, that’s a good idea!” And so that’s exactly what they did! I actually drove out to Cotopaxi to their adorable little cabin the day before they got married on the river in Salida, and we had a wonderful time hiking around the area. Their cabin was absolutely awesome – this little slice of heaven right smack dab in the middle of Colorado.
