Lou + Chris’s Palm Springs Air Museum Wedding
Today is sort of a big deal, guys – it’s one we’ve been waiting on for nearly nine months! Actually – scratch that, this has been a work in progress for nearly two years!! You see, Ashley met Lou + Chris in the summer of 2014 when we first moved to California, when they asked her to take their engagement photos and it was such an amazing experience; they are two of the sweetest guys, so lovely to just be around and the love in their relationship is just totally moving. After the session, quite a few publications picked up their session and at one point, one of the producers from Kinetic Content saw their engagement session somewhere and reached out to us to see if Lou + Chris would be interested in possibly being on TV in a new documentary series.
… What!??! Is this for real??!
Thinking it was totally a long shot, we forwarded the info to Lou + Chris and a few months later, we got the call: they were cast on the FYI Television Network‘s newest docu-series, Bride and Prejudice! And, they asked us if we would give them the honor of being there.
Again, we said: … What!??! Is this for real??!
Finally, the big day came after the guys had their engagement process entirely documented for the TV show. It was one of the most fun, beautiful and meaningful weddings we’ve ever witnessed; in fact, the wedding took place only days after gay marriage became legal all across America, and being able to be part of something so historic was something we couldn’t be prouder of, and to be able to work with Lou + Chris for their wedding was a dream come true.
Luna with Arrangements Floral & Party Design did a marvelous job at creating a beautiful reception site inside the hangar of the Palm Springs Air Museum, with beautiful lanterns, succulents, air plants, agate stones and himalayan salt rocks lining the tables. Lou’s college roommate and best friend, Tim, put together a beautiful dessert table with tons of homemade tasty treats, with the pièce de résistance – a gorgeous dulce de leche naked cake by local cake artist, Roman Blas of Over the Rainbow Bakery!
So, we’re very excited to finally be able to share these photos, now that we’ve made our national debut and their wedding aired last week! Enjoy!!
Special thanks to Lou + Chris’s amazing vendor team!
