Meet Michael, Michelle, Lily Bee (7) and Nathaniel (3)! Michelle and I have been friends for many, many years – we met six or seven years ago on an online forum for parenting called JustMommies, in a forum specifically for military families. Mike served in the Army while my husband served int he Air Force, and Michelle was one of the ladies on there that I really hit it off with and luckily enough, we both got pregnant around the same time with our youngest kiddos – and we grew to be good friends as a result (for which, I am very grateful). It’s taken a long time, but when the opportunity to FINALLY meet Michelle and her family came up while down visiting in Savannah, GA – we jumped at the chance to get together. We hung out over the weekend, and Michelle asked me to do their FIRST EVER FAMILY PHOTOS. Yes, you read that right – Mike and Michelle have never, ever had professional photos taken and this September will mark their tenth anniversary of being together!! So not only did I get to finally meet a longtime friend, but I got the opportunity to capture her family for the first time ever. This shoot was full of lots of laughs (Mike is a goofball) and chasing around Nate, who was NOT interested in having his picture taken (hello, lifestyle photography session, haha!). We did this shoot at the Wormsloe Plantation there in Savannah, and if you ever get the opportunity to visit Savannah – make a pit stop at this gorgeous location! Enjoy! xoxox
