Oh my gosh, this is an engagement session that was a literal dream come true for me. I have dreamed about photographing a couple in Sedona for years! Sedona has been a bucket list item for me my whole life, but in all my travels we never made it there … until now!! And you know what? It was everything I dreamed it would be and so much more.
I have been having so much fun with photography now that we are back to living in the desert … I feel right at home, more comfortable with doing things a little differently and focusing not only on telling the stories of my couples … but also being able to make the beautiful landscape of Arizona part of the story. And Sedona is the ultimate Arizona backdrop for engagement photos! I have photographed couples all over the country – mountains, oceans, farm lands, the hearts of cities like NYC and LA … and yet, the simplicity of the desert is what sets my soul on fire.
Paige and Dalton actually got engaged near Bell Rock in Sedona earlier this year. It was pure cosmic destiny that the one place not totally slammed pack with tourists over Labor Day weekend was this little slice of Sedona. We hiked miles around the trails of Bell Rock, even climbing to the top of “baby Bell Rock” – which is where it was super, super windy. I loved how Paige and Dalton just embraced the wind and the adventure – it made for an incredible Sedona engagement session at Bell Rock!!!
