Spring Joshua Tree Engagement Session

Phil + Becky are super chill – we picked up that vibe from our very first Skype date just a few months ago, when their friends were hangin’ out in the kitchen listening to our awesome initial interview (and they ate all the meatballs Becky had made, something we still joke around about). But more than that – they love adventure and just being together – which was one of the reasons we just fell in love with them from that first meatball-less Skype date.

So it came as no surprise that there was crazy shenanigans to finally get together to do their engagement shoot. The first date got scrapped because their kitty, Doom, fell ill and we didn’t want them to leave him just for a shoot with us – family first, right!? So when we rescheduled (once Doom was better, yay!), they went to book their flight and the flights freaking sold out! Then they got a flight in … to San Diego … and had to rent a car to drive out to Joshua Tree. Except, there was a glitch somewhere and the rental car company didn’t have the car they rented … And halfway driving here, we had this crazy windstorm that was wreaking havoc all over the desert, and we almost had to call the whole dang thing off.

But then the winds calmed down a bit, the dust clouds cleared away … and it turned into the perfect springtime engagement session.

Joshua Tree is blooming with beautiful wildflowers – purple, yellow, even bright red. And the brush is lush and green, so it really looks very ‘spring’ like, even for the desert. Becky rocked a cute little romper with her crazy high heels (color us super impressed, walking around in the desert with them!) and Phil got to suit up – and doesn’t he look so handsome??

We can’t wait for their wedding this upcoming June – it’s going to be the best time ever!!

  2. I’ve been on induction for almost 2 weeks. I’ve lost 9 pounds but i think i hit a plateau for four days i’ve been stuck at 182. Then today I was 182.8. I wanna go eat everything but i’m sticking with the? diet. I hope it goes away in a few days. it’s already almost been five days.I hope not four weeks, Hellll nooooo. LOL.

  3. Thanks for your posting on the vacation industry. I’d also like to add that if you are one senior taking into consideration traveling, it really is absolutely imperative that you buy traveling insurance for elderly people. When traveling, retirees are at biggest risk of having a health care emergency. Getting the right insurance policy package for one’s age group can look after your health and provide peace of mind.
