Springtime Engagement Session by the Lake

I had the best time with Jaci and Alex for their engagement session at Kenosha Veterans Park in Twin Lakes! We hiked all over for their springtime engagement session by the lake and in the beautiful green fields.

Jaci and Alex met through Hinge, and fell in love quite quickly. Jaci told me she knew early on that she knew they would work well together, because Alex is kind and gentle and that’s something that could temper her more bold and task-oriented personality. It was really important that Alex got along with Jaci’s family, too! Alex told me that Jaci’s qualities really aligned and complimented his, and she enjoys similar activities. There’s of course so much more to these two, though!

When it came time for Alex to propose, they have the cutest story! Jaci told me about it:

Alex was traveling to Seattle and while he was at the airport he texted and asked if I had time before small group to hang. And he didn’t use all of his money for food from his work trip so he brought takeout. My love language is quality time so I felt super cared for by the fact that he wanted to spend an hour with me. Then we were just chilling after dinner and he was like I gotta go to the bathroom and then when he came back he was doing something weird with his phone (setting it up for video). Then he came over and had me stand up and we were just chatting next to the couch. And I just kept thinking why are we standing when there is a perfectly good couch right here lol. Then he got down on 1 knee and then I sort of blacked out and I don’t really remember what he said. But after I just kept saying for real???

I can’t wait for their wedding later this summer, it’s going to be so much fun!
