A few weeks ago, Drew called me and asked me to help him plan a Lake Havasu City surprise proposal photography session for his girlfriend Angela. You see, Lake Havasu City is a very special place for these two because it’s where they met just over a year ago!

It was absolutely pure fate that brought Drew and Angela together, because neither one of them live in Havasu. In fact, Angela was in town doing some work for a major beverage company and Drew was only in town for a couple of days on a bros trip with some friends. They met while hanging out in the Channel, and after a few hours together (HOURS!!!), both of them knew that something magical had happened.

After talking over the phone and making trips to see each other in Spokane and Phoenix, Drew finally made the big move down to Phoenix to be with Angela. A year later to the very same weekend that they became officially a couple, Drew got down on one knee and asked Angela to spend the rest of their lives together. She, of course, said yes!

We celebrated their newly engaged status and walked the Channel together, and they showed me the exact spot they met in. We had to do a few photos of Kokomo in the background too, since that’s where they danced the night away together for the first time.
