Oh friends – boy oh boy, did we ever look forward to this wedding for the last year and now that it’s come and gone, we’re almost sad it’s already over! We flew out to Northern California, and headed up to wine country for Christian and Alexxa’s Thomas George Estates wedding in Healdsburg and it was a complete dream come true!!

About a year ago, we hung out with these two (and their adorable son Carter) for their engagement session, and when Alexxa talked about everything they had planned for their Cinco de Mayo wedding, we knew it was going to be absolutely epic … and it totally was!! Christian and Alexxa met at a brunch through a mutual friend, and right away, they knew each other was someone special. Alexxa told us that their first date just felt so easy – they laughed, ate and talked all night; she said it was like they’d known each other their whole lives. At the wedding during dinner, watching Alexxa from afar, Christian leaned over and said, “that’s the woman who changed my life.” AMAZING.

Christian and Alexxa chose to have their wedding at the Thomas George Estates in Healdsburg because it holds a very special place in their hearts. When they were first dating, they took a trip to Sonoma together and they’ve been visiting the winery at least 3-5 times a year, so they have a ton of special memories there! Our favorite part of their wedding day happened during the reception, when a group of mariachi’s came out and performed for all of the guests. What made it extra special was that not only were all of the mariachi players under the age of fifteen, but, they are all Alexxa’s cousins! And they did SUCH an amazing job!!!
