When Jami asked me to come to her husband, SPC Robert Early’s homecoming a few months ago – I got so excited! We had hoped for Robert to come home at a decent time of day so their two sons could come – but the Army had other plans! Robert came in during the middle of the night in early December, with the rest of the soldiers from 1-12 Infantry (MB8). It took us forever to find Robert in the sea of soldiers – I am pretty sure it took a good 3-4 minutes for him to finally sneak up behind Jami and give her the biggest hug I’ve ever seen. So sweet!
