Of all the homecomings from 4th ID returning home, I would have to say that Main Body 5 drew the shortest stick. They were delayed and rescheduled so many times – I cringed every time I got a new email from Sarah, who had scheduled me so many months ago to be with her, and their 2 year old daughter Natalie, to welcome home her husband, SPC Pete Ohl. Prior to serving in the Army, Pete served in the US Marine Corps – but this was their first deployment with the Army. It was definitely a different homecoming experience for them this time around! But Pete finally made it home safe and sound in early December, and I wouldn’t have missed it for anything! Welcome home, sir! Enjoy! XOXO
