Just a couple of days ago, Ash got to attend the private elopement of R + D at one of the most beautiful and intimate venues in Palm Springs, the Casa de Monte Vista. They met just a few months ago at the American Legion, and right away – the spark was there for both of them. They immediately fell for each other, and R + D decided to get married only a few days before actually eloping. Everything was so perfectly put together, it was like fate for them to celebrate their love in a private ceremony. Reverend Tracy Everett led a brief but beautiful ceremony, as they promised to love each other for the rest of their days. Through their ceremony, R wiped away tears of love and happiness, as D beamed at him with such a joyous smile, it brought tears to Ash’s eyes.
David + Dow from David Andrew Salon made D look absolutely beautiful, and D’s bouquet of white and blush roses with succulents by David Rohr was exactly what she had dreamed of. The cake from one of their favorite bakeries in Costa Mesa even matched her bouquet (and it was super tasty!). After the ceremony, R + D invited Ashley, Tracy and Joe (the owner of Casa de Monte Vista) for champaign and cake, and they even sent home a slice of cake for Randy!
And the Casa de Monte Vista? WOW! We can’t believe this was our first time ever shooting at this estate!!! It’s so lush and beautiful, a little paradise right next to the mountains with gardens and casitas, an outdoor bar and a sparkling pool. The Casa de Monte Vista has a long history, built nearly 100 years ago and has even seen some of Hollywood at its doors – it was featured in the movie Behind the Candelabra and was a hot spot for the Rat Pack in the 1960s. Needless to say, we can NOT wait to come back any chance we can!
