Thunder clouds, impending rain and more cactus than I’ve ever seen in Colorado Springs couldn’t stop us from having so much fun! I had a great time hanging out with Eldon and Tasha just a few days ago at the Garden of the Gods, talking all about their upcoming wedding this fall! These two met when Tasha first moved to Denver, through Eldon’s cousin. Both of them are in the IT field and even went to the same church, and eventually met in person (Eldon said he wanted to make sure he talked to her before any of the guys eyeing the new girl had the chance!). Falling in love and figuring out each other was ‘the One’ wasn’t an all-at-one thing, but rather a gradual process of little moments here and there.
When Eldon decided to propose, he took her on an extraordinarily long hike to a 14er here in Colorado. They are avid hikers, and even though they had actually picked out her ring two months before – Tasha suspected this extra long hike was a proposal opportunity. When they reached the summit, Tasha anticipated the proposal but instead Eldon “popped down on a nearby log and began eating a bag of carrots.” She turned around to look at the view, but little did she know he was just prepping himself to pop the question!! When she turned back around, there he was – on one knee, with a ring box in hand! He proposed, and now here we are – just a few weeks away from their fall wedding in Denver!
Randy + I are so excited for their wedding at the LDS Temple in Denver, with all of the awesome DIY details they have planned. But even more so, we’re so excited to celebrate their love with their friends and family!
