It’s hard to believe that the end of the fall season is upon us already here in Wisconsin. What’s equally wild to me is how long the beautiful fall colors last! Back home in Colorado, we were lucky if we got three weeks of colors and then after that? Everything would be completely dead and brown. Wisconsin likes to show off its natural beauty, especially in the autumn months – that much is for sure.

Even though the fire colors of fall had faded, we still had some beautiful golden yellow leaves hanging around for John and Joanne’s engagement session at Doctors Park Friends in Bayside, an adorable village just north of Milwaukee. Even though it was super chilly and windy next to Lake Michigan, we had a great time hiking around and exploring the park! We even headed down to the shoreline, and found the coolest wood stick teepee on the beach!

Funny enough, John and Joanne actually met on Tinder (which seems to be the most popular thing for our couples, lately!). For their first date, they met up at a dive bar called the Roman Coin on Brady Street in Milwaukee.They played some trivia and left things casual, but it was fate. While neither one of them was exactly looking for a soul mate – that’s exactly what they ended up doing! And in just a couple of days, they’ll be getting married and we’ll be visiting that exact bar for a celebratory drink between ceremony and reception!
