John and Joanne’s Milwaukee wedding at the Journeyman Hotel was one of those wedding days that we’ll never forget. Why? Because it was so absolutely intimate and tailored to be focused 100% on the guest experience, all day long. Joanne’s family flew in from England just for their wedding in Milwaukee! And, since it was such an intimate affair of just family and their closest friends, it was actually a surprise! It was so fun to watch Jo FaceTime her friends and family back home with the joyful news.
Their wedding day started at the Journeyman Hotel in Milwaukee, but we ended up hopping on a party bus and visiting the Roman Coin on Brady Street for drinks (and lots of them). You see, the Roman Coin is where John and Jo met up for their first date, so it was an extra special stop! And finally afterward, we ended our day at the Sanford Restaurant! We enjoyed an incredible multiple-course dinner, complete with some of the best desserts we’ve ever eaten at a wedding.
It was super important to John and Joanne that their day be documented as it was – not posed or inauthentic, acting almost as flies on the wall to tell the story of their wedding day. It pushed us to really become editorial wedding photographers, and it was an incredible experience all around. So excited to share their Milwaukee wedding with you guys today!
