Telluride Wedding at Peaks Resort and Spa | Nate & Sam

Right before Christmas, I shared Sam and Nate’s Telluride engagement session that we shot the day before their wedding, and I’ve been totally jonesing to blog their wedding – but of course, the whole family got slammed with the horrible flu going around over the holidays, which put a bit of a damper on doing much of anything. Ugh! But, here we are – good as new and ready to share Sam + Nate’s Telluride wedding at Peaks Resort and Spa!!

A year ago, they visited Telluride and it was a gorgeous winter wonderland; Sam loved the idea of a comfy and wintery wedding (with just a little hint of Christmas without being overloaded with Christmas stuff). But lo’ and behold, we arrived and it was almost what I’d call WARM in December – the only snow was manmade, a jacket wasn’t really necessary during the day and the resort was actually pretty quiet, despite being only a few days before Christmas. Sam was another incredibly skilled DIY bride; she actually made the table “numbers” herself (although they didn’t use numbers, instead they named each table after one of Telluride’s ski runs!).

Aside from the DIY aspects and the wintery inspired wedding decor, our favorite part of Sam and Nate’s Telluride wedding was that their puppy, Charlie, was their ring bearer. He was such a good boy!! But Nate? Nate took their love of dogs to a new level, and gave Sam a new man in her life as a wedding gift – a sweet new puppy, named Henry. She cried, I cried, we all cried; best gift EVER.

When Sam and Nate first reached out to us about coming to their Telluride wedding at Peaks Resort and Spa, we literally did a happy dance. We both had been hoping and wishing for an excuse to make a weekend trip to Telluride, and I’m so glad we finally had the opportunity to visit because Telluride is the most incredible little mountain town! We had an AMAZING time there with Sam and Nate, and can’t wait to go back again!
