With only two weeks to go until Christmas, I’m so excited to be sharing a recent session with one of our favorite couples-turned-families! Carl, Devon and their sweet baby girl Maeve drove all the way out to the desert for their family Christmas photos in Joshua Tree! The last time we saw Maeve, she was just a tiny little newborn nugget and now look at how grown up she is! She’s sitting up and waving, even standing if she’s holding on to something or someone! I just know the next time that we see her, she’ll be walking and on her way to college (hahaha!).
Randy + I just adore this family to bits and pieces, we’re so blessed to call them our friends and both of us are so grateful to have the opportunity to be part of their lives even after their wedding! The day after our last California wedding in 2017, we were headed back home to Colorado and luckily we were able to make the stars align so we could hang out with these three for their annual family Christmas photos in Joshua Tree (last year we got to do their Christmas pregnancy announcement photos here, too!). Joshua Tree is so beautiful any time of the day, but mornings have this fresh, clear light that is just so pretty to photograph!
Maeve is seriously the cutest, happiest baby. This was when I found out how much she loves to wave!
These might be some of my favorite momma-and-baby-girl photos I’ve ever taken. So, so sweet! And that morning light filtering through was just so dreamy!
This was Maevey’s first time playing in the sand … Carl and Devon did so good, haha!
We just love her little impish smile! I think it’s safe to say that Maeve loves the desert!
